On Thursday, February 27 from 11:30 am-1 pm, the Wangensteen Historical Library of Biology and Medicine (WHL) is holding a pop-up exhibit to showcase our recent acquisitions of Chinese, Japanese, and Korean materials. All are welcome to attend the pop up exhibit! WHL will also be showcasing their recent translation work through a project with Dr. Wayne Soon (HMED), which has been funded through a Creative Collaboratives grant from the Institute for Advanced Study (IAS).
Andersen Horticultural Library 50th anniversary event: The Art and Legacy of Nakashima Woodworkers

The Andersen Horticultural Library is home to the largest publicly accessible collection of George and Mira Nakashima furniture. In celebration of its 50th year, the Library is hosting a weekend of special events surrounding the stunning collection of Nakashima furniture including a film screening of “George Nakashima, Woodworker,” by his nephew John Nakashima, and a special lecture by Mira Nakashima, daughter of George and Creative Director of Nakashima Woodworkers.

Where: East Asian Library (S75 Sub-basement of Wilson Library)
What: Meet Shuqi Ye, the East Asian Studies Librarian, and learn about the East Asian Library. At 1:30, 2:30, and 3:30, Shuqi will lead an info session about the history of the East Asian Library and East Asian resources at UMN.
