Now there are 3 DVD players for East/Southeast Asian movies available for check out at the Wilson Library 1st floor desk. These DVD players are for laptop uses and are specific to a region (or zone). You can only play DVDs from those regions/zones. There are help sheets in the pouches, and the attached tags also explain what is in the pouches.
Each region code corresponds to different areas. Here is a simple list of areas for each region code:
Region 2: Japan
Region 3: Southeast Asia, South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau.
Region 6: Mainland China.
The loan period is one week, same as the DVDs from the East Asian Library. You can tell the staff at the first floor desk which region/zone of DVD player you want. You can check the EAL DVD manual for detailed information and instructions.
